I began to write this song before Christmas 2023 as I meditated upon the well known verses about the coming Messiah in Isaiah 9:6
“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
The song progressed as I began to think of many other names and titles for God in the Bible. Soon enough one verse turned into six verses and I found that recording and meditating upon who our God is transformed my perspective and gave me a new reverence and awe for our mighty Saviour! I really hope this song blesses you.
