It was a blessing to sing this song as we visited/ministered to our brothers and sisters at Calvary Portsmouth yesterday 13th Aug 2023. It is so important to remember the goodness and faithfulness of God in our lives. There is hope in every situation. Even death can bring life when the life is crucified with Christ. What may seem like an impossible situation may be God’s pathway to a higher calling. What may look like rejection can often be God’s protection and pathway to a deeper journey with Him. Perspective is so important. We always tend to say there’s two sides to every story. Even Proverbs 18:17 re-iterates this:” The first one to plead his cause seems right, Until his neighbor comes and examines him.” But God’s perspective is more than two sided, it is multi-faceted and before we judge a situation it is good to consider how the Lord views things. I think of the seven spirits of God described in Isaiah 11 speaking of Jesus: 2 The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.” All of the aspects of God work in beautiful harmony. So too the body of Christ has many beautiful sides, all part of a bigger and magnificent tapestry. The darker shades bring out the lighter ones. God is the master of the bigger picture. May He give us eyes to see from His perspective!
