We need revival

On Sunday it was a blessing to be able to introduce a song I wrote called “Let the Spirit and the Bride say come” (just released with @hgwsongs )….My husband Ilir taught the Sunday school lesson that day on Acts chapter 10 about the Roman Centurion Cornelius whose prayers and alms had come up as a memorial before the Lord. But Cornelius didn’t have the whole picture of salvation yet. When Peter met with Cornelius and the family and friends he had gathered, he began to deliver the gospel message. Before he had even finished, the Holy Spirit fell upon the group and they began to speak in tongues.

You may wonder what the relation between my song and the story is!! It came as a revelation to me later in the day.. The chorus words to my song are 🎵: Let Your Kingdom come
Let Your will be done
Here on earth as it is in heaven
Send Your Holy fire
Cleanse and purify
Father fill Your church with Your power

Here were a bunch of people, not yet baptised in water, yet receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit-the empowering needed to go out and share the Gospel…We cry out for God’s empowering but what is our motive? Do we want to look super spiritual? We cannot conjure up a move of God’s Spirit-He moves as and when He wills as demonstrated in this story. But God is looking for a purified church to empower, to be ambassadors for His Kingdom.
An often quoted scripture is 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
We need revival in our churches and land. God’s eyes are running to and fro looking for loyal hearts, humbling seeking Him in prayer. We desperately need His anointing and empowering to reach a lost generation. He wants to use a purified church and people. He is coming back and we need the oil in our lamps! Maranatha

Thanks for reading if you made it this far!!! 😄
