Let The Spirit And The Bride Say Come – performed live by Sarah Begaj and John Hayward

This is my new release with Homegrown worship which I sang with Pastor John Hayward at Court Farm Evangelical Church last Sunday 8th March 2020. Such a wonderful response! This song’s beginnings came out of Revelation chapter 22. This chapter sets the scene of the new heaven and new earth to come. The call is for all to come to the water of life; Jesus, and for His bride (the Church) to remain spotless and ready for His return. The chorus of the song is taken from the Lord’s prayer and the empowering of the church at Pentecost, calling out for God to establish His Kingdom and purify his church. As I sat writing this song, the parable of the ten virgins from Matthew chapter 25 came to mind. Jesus tells us to watch and pray because we do not know the hour of His return. How important it is that we have the oil of the Holy Spirit so we are not like the foolish virgins who didn’t have oil in their lamps and were not permitted to the wedding. As the bride of Christ may we be ready for His return!
Although this is just a phone recording, I hope that it can bless you! You can hear the studio version of the song HERE.

Lyrics –
Verse 1:
Let the Spirit and the bride say come
Let everyone who hears say come
Let all who are thirsty come
To the water of life, to Jesus

(Repeat)

Chorus:
Let Your Kingdom come
Let Your will be done
Here on earth as it is in Heaven
Send Your Holy fire
Cleanse and purify
Father fill Your church with Your power

Verse 2:
May we stay awake, watch and pray
He’s coming at an hour we don’t know
On the day or night He returns
Let the oil in our lamps be burning

Chorus:

Bridge: (repeat)
Holy Spirit come
Fill our lamps with oil
Holy Spirit come
Fill Your church with power

Chorus 2:
Let Your Kingdom come
Let Your will be done
Here on earth as it is in Heaven
Send Your Holy fire
Cleanse and purify
Father fill Your church with Your power

(Repeat)
